During installation, if an issue occurs with the Sentinel Run-Time Environment Installer, cancel the install and go to Installing or Updating the Windows Driver for the Hasp License for steps on how to complete a sentinel hasp installation. Once this is completed, install DesignCalcs again.

New Features

  • Several pipe data changes from the ASME B36.10 2022 code are now available in the software. DC-8571; DC-8579

  • Several changes have been made to the SolidWorks integration (export) and has been confirmed to work with SolidWorks 2022 Service Pack 4.0. Additionally, the system now improves the handling of windows temp file created during the export. DC-8073

  • The minimum seismic lateral load multiplier now accounts for three decimal places of precision for all support types. DC-8997

 

Issues Resolved

  • Opening DesignCalcs in Fabrication Manager now works correctly. Previously, an error message was displayed. DC-8662

  • A warning message is now displayed for the 2021 code year and later when Appendix 1-7(a) is in scope and the ratio of the nozzle neck radius to vessel radius exceeds 0.7. A code change in 2021 occurred that made this ratio a U-2(g) issue when over 0.7 for more cases. In 2019 and older, this warning message continues to only appear if Appendix 1-7(b) is otherwise in scope. Whenever this warning message is displayed, it now advises the user to evaluate the model with NozzlePRO. DC-8939; DC-8951

  • The Euler buckling constant “k” default value when a vessel includes legs now considers the correct value. Previously, the system defaulted to 1.5 rather than the correct k Value for Leg Supports data displayed under Tools > Defaults > Wind/Seismic. DC-8847, DC-8855

  • When performing a high precision rounding in the cylindrical shell, the correct calculations are now displayed. DC-8660

  • The vessel code year menu now displays and works correctly. DC-8640

 

Miscellaneous

  • A warning message has been added for vertical vessels when performing structural calculations (for Tower Analysis, Leg, Support Lug and Support Ring) to clarify cases that are not supported in the calculation. This was added as a reminder in conjunction with the methodology documentation. If Attachments/Loadings, Insulation or Wind Diameters are input above the top head, the warning message is displayed and advises the user that those inputs will not be considered in the structural calculation.   • The CEI Portal has been sunset and is no longer available within the software. Installing this version of DesignCalcs will remove it if it is still displayed in the software. DEV-311

  • NozzlePRO is now recommended for nozzles that exceed the 2:1 cross-section limit per UG-36(a)(1). DC-8679

  • The example vessels to aid in Mandatory Appendix 10-5 software verification are now stored in a different URL. DC-8936

  • The installation location has now been added to the registry. DC-8653

  • The registry root key has been changed. DC-8653
