If an issue occurs during the install, when trying to lay down the Sentinel Run-Time Environment Installer, please cancel the install and follow the Sentinel Hasp Installation steps in the article below. Once this has completed, run the DesignCalcs install again:

New Features
A supplemental calculation has been added. The calculation is for evaluating Rated B16.5 and B16.47 flanges to various methods such as those proposed by UG-44(b), Koves and Kellogg. CRTN-4030, CRTN-4271
The nozzle reports can now show compliance with UG-44(a) in the nozzle summary and the nozzle neck calculations part of the report. This can be done using the new “Reference UG-44(a) with UG-45” check box on the nozzle General Info form. DC-7469
2021 code changes are being rolled out in this release and in the next several releases. The option to select 2021 now exists and can be selected in the vessel screen. An informative note to the the user will appear, when 2021 is selected, letting them know that it is in active development. The default code year will remain 2019 until code changes are complete. The tubesheet shear calculation screening has been updated per the 2021 Edition to consider yield strength in determining if the shear stress needs to be calculated for the tubesheet. Designs that were screened out of this check in 2019 or older years, may have to determine shear stress in 2021. This may cause some designs to fail that were previously passing. DC-7108
Tube to Tubesheet weld configurations have been updated to support new options in the 2021 Edition. See Tubesheet - Tube to TS Joints for details. DC-7124
The default Rated Flange B16.5 reference is now 2017 for code years designed to BPV VIII 2021. In addition the 2020 versions of B16.5 and B16.47 have been added and the user may select those via the direct reference option. DC-7184

Mean Coefficient of Thermal Expansion values for Table TE-1, Other Alloy Steels (Group 2) have now been also been assigned to nominal composition 25Cr - 6Ni - Mo - N. Since this is not a change in assignment, any materials with this nominal composition will be assigned this way regardless of code year. DC-7421
Mean Coefficient of Thermal Expansion values for Table TE-1, Other Austenitic Stainless Steels (Group 4) have now been also been assigned to nominal composition 47Fe - 25Ni - 23Cr - 5.5Mo - N. Since this is not a change in assignment, any materials with this nominal composition will be assigned this way regardless of code year. DC-7421
Mean Coefficient of Thermal Expansion values have been added for alloy N08354 in Table TE-4. Since this is not a change in assignment, any materials with this alloy will be assigned this way regardless of code year. DC-7421
Modulus of Elasticity values for Table TM-1, Material Group J have now been also been assigned to nominal composition 25Ni - 47Fe - 23Cr - 5.5Mo - N. Since this is not a change in assignment, any materials with this nominal composition will be assigned this way regardless of code year. DC-7421
Modulus of Elasticity values for alloy N08354 have now been also been added table TM-4. Since this is not a change in assignment, any materials with this alloy will be assigned this way regardless of code year. DC-7421
Poisson and Density values have been added for alloy N08354 per Table PRD. DC-7421
Multiple note revisions have been made for 2021 to tables 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B. DC-7421
Issues Resolved
The half-pipe jacket supplemental calculations had an issue fixed where the values shown in a report that was selected in the DesignCalcs report viewer did not look the same as the Supplemental reports viewer. CRTN-4360
An issue was resolved in the Rated Flange form that was preventing an instant status update based on MDMT calculations. This would occur when something affecting the calculations, like a material change was executed. DC-7510
An issue was resolved in the Heat Exchanger setup that was preventing it from creating Rated Flanges with the correct MDMT values. DC-7604
An issue was resolved for all three tubesheet types on the Tube tab of the input form. The units label for Ap now correctly shows “sq. mm” in Metric units. DC-7108
Several issues were resolved for the three tubesheet types regarding the shear stress calculation. The shear stress failure criteria now correctly lower of 0.8S or 0.533Sy and not just 0.8S for years 2019 and later. This affected messages, stress ratios, etc. In addition sometimes the shear stress screening criteria for older years would incorrectly exempt the calculation on some U-tube TS designs. DC-7108
Two issues were resolved in the torispherical head input form. The first is that the UG-32(j) check message needed to be changed to UG-32(i) for code years 2015 and later. The second issue is that that UG-32(i) check was only being performed in the new condition and not he corroded condition; now it checks both. DC-7310
An issue was resolved with the custom material viewer and editor where a user could not see all the values to properly change them. The custom material viewer and editor can now be expanded and now has a vertical scroll bar. DC-7429
