To access the latest DesignCalcs installation file, click DesignCalcs Download.

During installation, if an issue occurs with the Sentinel Run-Time Environment Installer, cancel the install and go to Installing or Updating the Windows Driver for the Hasp License for steps on how to complete a sentinel hasp installation. Once this is completed, install DesignCalcs again.

New Features

• The Konnect and Vessel Link export buttons have been added so users can export design files from DesignCalcs to Vessel Link or Konnect™, which are finite element analysis (FEA) design and analysis software from Paulin Research Group. DC-11398

• The following updates have been made to the JSON export button:

  • Using the JSON export button, general improvements have been made for better exporting and importing from DesignCalcs to other CEI-owned software like Finglow and Paulin Research Group. FIN-624, CRTN-4635, DC-11351, DC-11592, DC-11920, DC-11907, DC-12127

  • General improvements have been made when exporting files using the JSON export button regarding the design conditions. DC-11696

  • General improvements have been made when exporting files using the JSON export button regarding heads. DC-11846

  • The JSON export button can now support custom flanges. DC-10714

  • The JSON export button can now support rated flanges. DC-10725

  • The JSON export button can now support studded outlets. DC-11494

Issues Resolved

• The report information assoicated with a fixed tubesheet design file has been updated to display the correct formulas. Previously, Steps 10 and 11 in the calculation displayed the incorrect decimal value as well as a missing multiplication symbol. DC-11459, DC-11938

• The system’s scaling properties have been updated to an enhanced mode for better visibility. Previously, the default setting caused display issues depending on a user’s personal resolution settings. DC-10687

Miscellaneous

When designing a head, the user can select the Ignore Appendix 1-4 Strength Penalty option in the MDMT/Misc tab. After selecting this option, a warning message is now displayed to inform users this action may not support ASME code requirements for heads. DC-11668
