DesignCalcs 2016.2 Release Notes

New Features

1. IBC 2015 was added as a wind/seismic option.
2. The help system was replaced with a newer, search based system.  In addition, several topics have been updated to reflect changes in the software.

Issues Resolved

1. An issue was resolved with the calculation of FL for Lug or Support Ring supported vessels.  The issue occurred in cases where there were no Attachments listed in the attachment loading screen and only for seismic codes 1998 and later.  This could show a significant change for the lug results for the seismic loading cases.
2. An issue was corrected in the patching of Rated Flanges that prevented a material group from being selected for the 2015 year until a material selection was made or remade.
3. An issue was corrected in the Studded Outlet report that would, in rare cases, state the weld details were failing when they were not.
4. An issue was corrected in the Thick Wall EJ form that made the Required Thickness per 5-2 and the Required Thickness values show incorrectly.  These have been updated and the second value was replaced with Nominal Thickness per 5-2.
5. An issue was corrected in the nozzle reports where the fr4 value would sometimes show as something other than zero when no repad was present.  All of the results and component status were unaffected by this issue.fr
6. An issue was resolved where certain materials with an included product form of "sheet" were not processing properly.  This was likely only noticed if using the 4:1 safety factor.
7. An issue was resolved where the description of certain Rated Flanges would show incorrectly in the component window until they were opened and closed.

Miscellaneous

1. A note about weld details prohibitions was added to Loose Ring Reverse Appendix 2 flanges per Appendix 2-13(a)(2) at a customer's request.  The note can be seen on the flange form and the flange report.
2. The copyright under the Help-About screen was extended to 2016.
