Grids
The Grid Data Access Utility (GRID) is a common interface among multiple Computer Engineering Inc.’s (CEI) many software products. It allows rapid and thorough data analysis with a very short learning curve. This area explains the various elements of the GRID that may be available in any given CEI product, however not all elements of the GRID are available in all locations within a given CEI Product. The CEI GRID can be used to form structured representations of information from a database (such as SQL Server), a group of “flat” files (such as Microsoft® Word® documents or WeldDocs® Documents), something in-between such as an XML file, or any other conglomeration of well-structured data. Any such structured set of information is referred to as a “Datastore” in this document.
