Sorting

Basic Sorting

Sorting allows for the information displayed in rows within the GRID to be ordered by a given column header in ascending or descending order. Single left click on the letters of the column header and release the mouse button to activate the sorting option.

Numeric

Numeric fields such as “Stamp Number” can be sorted by single left mouse clicking on a column header.

This will result in an ascending sort such as the below. 

Single left mouse clicking on the same column header a second time will switch to the descending sort order such as that seen below.

Alphabetic

Alphabetic fields such as “Last Name” can also be sorted. Just as with Numeric single left clicking and releasing the column header will trigger an ascending alphabetical sort from “A to Z”.

Single left mouse clicking and releasing on the same column header a second time will switch to the descending sort order such as that seen below from “Z to A”.

Alphanumeric

Alphanumeric fields which contain both numbers and alphabetic characters can also be sorted in the same manner. Single left clicking and releasing the column header will trigger an ascending alphanumeric sort with numeric values appearing before alphabetic characters as in the below with column header “Local No.”.

Single left mouse clicking and releasing on the same column header a second time will switch to the descending sort order such as that seen below.
