Shell/Tube - External Pressure
(Includes Jacket and Heat Exchanger Components)
Design Pa: The external design pressure (pressure on the convex side). This value is gauge pressure. If the user wishes to consider the effect of static head for the external pressure case, this input must be altered to consider the effect.
L: The un-stiffened length for the shell component. See UG-28(b) and Figure 28.1 for more information. This value may be greater than the length of the shell itself.
External Temperature: The maximum mean metal design temperature for the external pressure case as defined in UG-20(a).
