Inserting PDFs into DesignCalcs

DesignCalcs supports attaching outside pdfs into a DesignCalcs file

• Use the new Attachments button on the button bar to bring up the Attached Documents menu:

•  Press the Add button to open the browser:

• After browsing to the pdf parent folder, select the desired file and press Open.

• Now you will see the pdf in the Document List.  You can remove it with the Delete button.  You can rename it by clicking in the cell under "Report Name".  The report name value will default to "External Attachment - " plus <file name>.

• Using the checkbox "Use DesignCalcs Footer and Page Number" will put the native DesignCalcs footer and page number on the inserted pdf when it is used in a DesignCalcs report.  When it does this, it will be with an opaque background in the footer so that the superimposed footer text does not look mixed up with any text that may be in the original pdf.

• Any attached pdfs can now be inserted inline with the vessel file's native pdfs to generate a vessel report.  They will also show in the Table of Contents.
