Structure & Relationships
In WeldToolbox - Estimator, estimates are structured in a tree. The highest node is a "collection" of welds. Individual welds are broken into "operations" (root, fill, cover, etc.) and these operations are split into "passes."
Definitions
Collection: The highest level element in WeldToolbox - Estimator. A collection is a combination of all welds in a project.
Weld: A subset of a collection. A weld represents all of the operations and passes needed to complete the joining of two or more elements or to complete a hardface or corrosion resistant overlay.
Operation: A group of passes. An operation can represent any logical pattern or method, but they are most often organized in a root-fill-cover manner.
Pass: The most granular element in WeldToolbox - Estimator. Details about each pass include process, method, labor cost, gas cost, etc.
