Finglow EFP Module
Step 1 - Copy the latest EFP sheet templates.
If this a new installation then this step can be skipped.
If this is a not a first time installation and Finglow have issued additional EFP sheets then the first thing to do is copy the latest EFP standard template file from \Finglow\20.06.0.683\STD\F23Std.FSE to \Finglow\Env\F23Std.FSE.
Step 2 - Running the software
EFP sheets can be used in either Finglow 2D or 3D.
Running EFP sheets from Finglow 2D
Log into software as normal and create a new Item or load an existing Item by clicking the “Load/Create Item”
button on the toolbar. See also Finglow 2D - Load/Create Item .
Then select “Engineering Modules->Data Sheet/Manual Calcs” from the main menu.
Go to Step 3.
Running EFP sheets from Finglow 3D
Log into software as normal and create a new Item or load an existing Item by clicking the “Load/Create Item”
button on the toolbar. See also Finglow 3D - Load/Create Item
Then select “Tools->EFP Datasheets…” from the main menu.
Go to Step 3.
Step 3 - Running EFP sheets
When the EFP module first runs up the screen below will be displayed.
NOTE : At any time the user can press the F1 key and detailed help will be displayed for that particular area of the software.
To load an existing Template click the “New Sheet”
button on the toolbar.
This will then display the current list of standard EFP sheet templates supplied by Finglow.
Select the required sheet, and press the Read button.
Once the template has been read the following screen will be displayed.
Enter the required data in the fields provided and press the “Calculate” button.
Once the software has finished the calculation the user can.
Save Input - This will save the data that has just been input to a file that can be read in again in future.
Save Output - This will save an output file for the calculation that has just been performed so the user can print it out as part of a formatted design report.
Quick Print - This will print this calculation out to a selected printer or PDF file.
To load an existing saved EFP Input file press the “Read Input”
button on the toolbar, this will display a list of any previously saved input files which can then be read in and used accordingly.
