Load/Create Item...

The first thing a user needs to do when running the 2D software is to select the “Load/Create Item”

icon from the toolbar, from here they can select an existing Item or create a new item that the user wishes to work in from the dialog.

To Create a new Item, navigate to the directory you wish to create the Item in and then check the “New Item” box, then enter the Item name in the edit box and press the “New Item” button.

Once this step has been done the software will work exactly as it did before, just select and Engineering module from the menu and then perform calculations and read/save input files etc as before.

NOTE: If the user selects an Engineering module without first doing this step the message below will be displayed

and no calculations will be able to be performed until an Item is loaded, and the screen will look like this with almost all the toolbar greyed out.
