ProWrite Cloud Connection Errors - Technical Information (cloud 2.0).

If you happen to experience connection errors. Please ask your IT personnel to check the below. 


Destination hostname is: cloud2.thinkcei.com  

We recommend exceptions be made for the hostname rather than the IP address as it may change in the future.


Please add these 3 exceptions for outbound(only outbound is needed) filtering for the host cloud2.thinkcei.com

  • TCP/443
  • TCP/3389
  • UDP/3391

These 3 ports are required for successful connections to our Cloud systems. 


Additional info about ports:

• TCP/443 - Required for HTTPS access to remote desktop workplace webpage, cloud2.thinkcei.com 

• TCP/3389 - Standard RDP port utilized by terminal services to connect to the RDS session hosts / RDS Farm. The primary RDS transport. 

• UDP/3391 - Allows the transport to create that connection.
