New Features

  • You can now model structural attachments together with nozzles in PVPTPro. PRG-2765

Note: The JSON export button allows users to import and export design files from CEI’s suite of software products like DesignCalcs and Finglow (and vise versa into PRG’s products) for further code validation, design assistance, or FEA analysis.

  • Konnect™ can now analyze and plot CAD models by location without an underlying beam model, which allows users to join and lock the model to the vessel and piping from X, Y, or Z coordinates or by elevation, north, east, west, or south coordinates. PRG-2540

  • Twice Yield fatigue calculations using the cyclic stress-strain curve has been implemented into the Plastic, Large Rotation, Arc-Length Solver. PRG-3134

  • The extrapolation algorithm has been improved and implemented for shells, axisymmetric, and brick geometries. PRG-3118

  • The text report in NozzlePRO now includes zero loads to show that absent weight loads, where no value is imputed, is still accounted for in the analysis displayed as 0. PRG-2925

 

Issues Resolved

  • In MatPRO, a warning message is now displayed when the hot allowable stress value is set to 0, prompting the user’s review. Previously, the software did not allow 0 to be set as the hot allowable stress value, which may have caused an inaccurate out-of-range analysis in accordance with ASME Section II, Part D. PRG-2987

  • In MatPRO, all material proprieties now display correct yield stress values. Previously, some properties from Table 2A, ASME Section II, Part D 2023 displayed the wrong values. PRG-3156

  • In FEPipe, the Lookup Material Database button in the Bend Leg template now loads and displays the material database as expected. PRG-3209

  • Overturning moments for brick models in NozzlePRO are now accounted for and work as expected. Previously, when a user entered an overturning moment for skirts, the loads were not considered in the analysis. PRG-2885

  • When importing hillside nozzles from DesignCalcs or Finglow with Vessel Link, the models now display as they should in Paulin Research Group’s products. Previously, the orientation and geometry of the model would display incorrectly in some cases. PRG-3054

  • The Flange Calculator in FlangePRO now converts English units correctly. PRG-3211

  • PVPTPro (cloud version) now plots the uploaded model as expected. PRG-3155

  • In NozzlePRO, header loads for parent geometries without an attachment are now included in the analysis. PRG-2534
