Build 2019.6.0.3242
Release status was June 27th, 2019
If an issue occurs during the install, when trying to lay down the Sentinel Run-Time Environment Installer, please cancel the install and install Sentinel directly from the link below. Use the Sentinel HASP/LDK - Windows GUI Run-time Installer. Once this has completed, run the DesignCalcs install again:
New Features
- 2019 code changes will start to be rolled out over the next several releases. The option to select 2019 now exists and can be selected in the vessel screen. An informative note to the the user will appear, when 2019 is selected, letting them know that it is in active development. The default code year will remain 2017 until closer to the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020. DC-3185
- At this point, until ASME 2019 material changes are published, the 2019 code year, will use the materials from 2017 as though they are all valid for 2019. DC-3448
- U-tube, Fixed Tube, and Floating Tubesheet math has been updated for the 2019 code year to limit the shear stress to the smaller of 0.8S or 0.533Sy. In years previous to 2019, the limit was just 0.8S. This means that some designs that were passing the earlier years may fail in the the 2019 code year with a more restrictive allowable stress. DC-3312
- The 2019 versions of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and Division 2 reference the use of 2017 B16.47 for flanges from 26" to 60". This new standard has been added into DesignCalcs. The only significant change was to some Pressure Temperature Ratings for Material Group 1.18. DC-3382
- The export to SolidWorks now includes Support Rings and Support Lugs. DC-3228 and DC-3242
- The export to SolidWorks now includes Unbraced Legs. DC-3214
- The ASME Flange report now uses text wrapping on most of of the columns. This will prevent long description names from being truncated and improves the readability. DC-3229
- DesignCalcs will now put the class of long weld neck or pipe fitting at the beginning of the nozzle description when the fittings search is used to select a fitting. DC-3466
Issues Resolved
- An issue was resolved with the Summary grid in the tubesheet reports. In the grid, the average shear stress ratio was always using the same allowable shear stress instead of changing based on the row in the grid. This defect did not affect the pass/fail status of the tubesheets. DC-3312
