AWS D17.2 (AEROSPACE RESISTANCE WELDING)

AWS D17.2’s implementation into ProWrite allows users the ability to enter, store, and access their Specifications for Resistance Welding for Aerospace Application Welding documents as well as their welders from within ProWrite Welding Software.

AWS D17.2 is the Specifications for Resistance Welding for Aerospace Applications developed by The American Welding Society for construction of aerospace components.

The code covers the general welding requirements for aerospace hardware. It includes requirements for resistance spot and resistance seem welding of aluminium, magnesium, iron, nickel, cobalt, and titanium-based alloys. The requirements included are for machine and welding schedule qualification, production witness samples, and inspection and acceptance criteria for aerospace hardware.
