AWS D1.9 (Structural Titanium)

AWS D1.9’s implementation into ProWrite allows users the ability to enter, store, and access their Structural Titanium Welding documents as well as their welders from within ProWrite Welding Software.

AWS D1.9 is the structural titanium welding code developed by The American Welding Society for construction of titanium components.

The code contains the requirements for designing, fabricating, and inspecting of titanium structures. When the code is stipulated in contract documents, conformance with all provisions of the code shall be required, except for those provisions that the Engineer (see 1.4.1) or contract documents specifically modify or exempt. 

Annex A of the code contains requirements for the ballistic testing of structural titanium welds in armor.
