API 1104 (Pipelines and Related Facilities)

API 1104’s implementation into ProWrite allows users the ability to enter, store, and access their Piping Welding documents as well as their welders from within ProWrite Welding Software.

API 1104  developed by The American Petroleum Institute is the welding code for pipelines and related facilities.

The code covers carbon and low-alloy steel piping used in the compression, pumping, and transmission of crude petroleum, petroleum products, fuel gases, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and where applicable, covers welding on distribution systems. It applies to both new construction and in-service welding.

Theses document are geared toward the development of welding procedures and welder and welding operator performance qualification specifically in the piping arena.
