It is known that Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 and the latest install-able RDP 8.1 version is capable of connecting to ProWrite Cloud. Please see this site to install the RDP 8.1 update on To update RDP to version 8.1 please visit the appropriate page for your version of Windows:

To check the version of Remote Desktop, please open "Remote Desktop Connection" (from the start menu or by run->msts→ok).
From that app, click the top-left icon and choose "about".
You want at least "Remote Desktop Protocol 8.1", as below. Install the linked update appropriate for your Operating System if you don't see that.
