AWS D10.x's implementation into ProWrite allows users the ability to enter, store, and access their Pipe documents as well as their welders from within ProWrite Welding Software.

...

D10.8 describes the methods for welding chromium-molybdenum steel piping and tubing. The steels considered in this code must contain 0.5 - 9% chromium and some molybdenum, these elements increase the oxidation resistance of steel and increase the strength and stability of micro-structure at elevated temperatures. The recommended practices of this code apply to arc welding of Cr-Mo steels.

D10.9 specifies the requirements for qualifying welding procedures and welders for joining ferrous and nonferrous metals and combinations of the two using tubular applicable processes. Longitudinal seems involved in pipe and tube manufacture are excluded from the code, however the code covers grooves and fillet welds.

D10.10 describes the recommended practices and methods of applying controlled heat to weld joints and limited volume base metal adjacent to the joints, as opposed to furnace/welding oven.

D10.11 describer describes the methods to make root weld passes o circumferential pipe groove welds using:

...

  1. low pressure heating
  2. air conditioning
  3. refrigeration
  4. water supply
  5. some gas and chemical systems

AWS D18.318 is a guide for welding ferritic/austenitic duplex stainless steel piping and tubing. The code has information which may be used to avoid/minimize difficulties in welding duplex stainless steel piping and tubing. The guide outlines exceptions for common welding processes that should be taken into consideration before attempting that process.

AWS D18.3's implementation into ProWrite allows users the ability to enter, store, and access their tanks, vessels and other equipment in sanitary application documents as well as their welders from within ProWrite Welding Software.

AWS D18.3's is a set of tank/vessel codes developed by The American Welding Society for construction of safety and health components.

D18.3 covers requirements for welding of stainless and carbon steels, nickel alloys, and other metals, in sheet, plate bar, and other forms for the fabrication and construction of new tanks, vessels, and other sanitary equipment. The specification is intended for the new construction of the vessels and tanks, but it can be applied to maintenance and repair of current equipment. The code addresses qualification, fabrication, examination, acceptance criteria and documentation requirements.
